Fluid intelligence refers to the ability to think logically and solve novel problems without relying on previously acquired knowledge. Better Brain offers a series of engaging memory exercises designed to test your ability to recall both auditory and visual information simultaneously. A recent scientific study has demonstrated a notable improvement in the fluid intelligence levels of participants following this specific training regimen.

One of the core exercises featured in Better Brain is the challenging 2-back task. In this exercise, you are required to remember the sound you heard two steps ago alongside the location of a square on a three by three grid.

Better Brain provides users with customizable settings, including the option to select from two additional training tasks (audio position, color change, shape), as well as an adaptive difficulty feature. As you progress in your training, you can advance to the more demanding 3-back task. Conversely, if errors become frequent, the difficulty level will be adjusted accordingly. Another notable feature of Better Brain is the ability to engage in dual-channel memory exercises that focus solely on auditory or visual stimuli.

For further analysis, users have the option to export a detailed log file of their training sessions via email or directly through the Finder.
